Fall’s Favourite Hair Accessory | Fashion Trends 2021

Today I thought I'd reintroduce a series I used to run on my channel called Trend To Try where I introduce you to a small trend that I think you may like. As you'll l see I've also filmed this one outside because it was such a beautiful day and I thought if I was going to be wearing a baseball cap I may as well be out in nature. Please let me know if you like this style of video or if you'd prefer me to shoot them in my office.

I also forgot to ask if you would actually wear a base ball cap this Fall / Winter as part of your everyday outfit? I'd really love to know if you will be incorporating a cap into your new season outfits.

Anyway, thank you SO much for watching and for everyone's amazingly kind words on my community tab recently. We've now been in lock down here in New Zealand for a couple of months and I think being cut off from friends and being locked down without cafes, restaurants, schools or anything open has started to wear a little thin. But I was blown away by your incredible kindness when I mentioned I was having a bit of a hard time. I truly love this little community we have here and I really do feel the love so from the bottom of my heart – THANK YOU!

  1. All our plants are going to sleep it’s fall here but the colors are amazing enjoy your spring enjoy your summer thank you for sharing see you in the next one love your cap it looks cute on you🧢They are all so cute if you put your ponytail through them they look cute like that they protect you from the sun

    1. That’s such a cute way of putting it Zlatinka “going to sleep”. I also think they are cute with your pony tail poking through – thanks for always being so lovely – I appreciate you 🙂

  2. Love a baseball cap! So glad you are liking them too…I think they can be flattering and my favorite way to tone down a “fussy” outfit. I love to wear them with skirts and sneakers too. Thanks for featuring them and your beautiful spring weather! Hope you all are able to get out soon❤️🙏

    1. Thank you and wow I’ve never lived in a place where it snows so I do have romantic notions of snow – although I’m sure the reality is very different!

  3. I love a cute cap, but for years my hair has been thinning and I’ve cut it short. I haven’t seen a single example of someone rocking a baseball cap with short hair. 😔

    1. Oh damn I did have a couple of images of women with short hair rocking a baseball cap to add into this video but because this one was shorter than most I didn’t need have the images I had found. But I have definitely seen it and in my opinion it looks great!

    1. Thank you Sami and I was actually thinking about possibly trying to do two videos each week but wasn’t sure if people would just get sick of me – eek!

  4. For me baseball caps and knitted vests are things i wore for years, not an actual trend…🤷‍♀️…i love the nature around you, here’s autumn and really chilly 🍁🍂🍁🍂

  5. I live in a small mountain town that is very casual and outdoor-sports oriented. Hats are essential year-round to protect from our intense sun and whenever there isn’t a cold wind blowing, baseball caps are what I reach for most often: wool tweed for autumn, brights and pastels coordinating with outfits, and logo caps from my husband’s cycling team. I love dressing a little more formally than is typical here and a baseball cap, sneakers, or other casual piece, helps tone down my dresses or tailored pieces, making me look less out of place. Most people here always look as if they’re headed to a Pilates class, or out for a hike. That’s fine, but I enjoy mixing things up and having some fun with my clothes. Love your gingham and floral caps, btw! 😍

I also love wearing fedoras and berets, and beanies are a winter necessity, so it would be fun to see a video dedicated to styling various types of hats! Maybe one for winter and another hat video for summer. Hint, hint . . . 😉

  6. Being away from my friends and family for almost 7 months, not being to go out as much in Trinidad and turning 42 all put together brought on the grey hairs really quick!Baseball caps have honestly been my best discovery during this covid period as I truly despise dyeing my hair😁

  7. To do or not to do lol!
I’ve been collecting baseball caps and hats for years. My 1 daughter has taken several from my collection – I wear mine when going for my power walks hair in a ponytail!

    1. Yes that’s when I wear mine Leanne but I’m definitely going to add one here and there to my everyday outfits – especially when my hair is overdue for a root retouch 🙂

  8. I was born with a a ball cap on. Have them in every colour out there and wear them all the time. Only problem my head is on the small side and I have a hard time finding one that would fit perfectly
