    1. I am so sorry. I have been there several times. I am a Christian so I quote God’s word out loud. The Bible says, “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love, power, and a sound mind.” If you haven’t asked Jesus to come into your heart and be the Lord of your life, I highly recommend that first. You can just say something like, “Dear Jesus, life is too hard for me and I ask you to come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and be the Lord of my life and lead me.” Secondly, I recommend that you start reading your Bible. It is the number one all-time best seller for a reason! It was written by over 40 different authors on three different continents, in three different languages! There’s nothing that compares! I am praying that the Lord will do something today to show you that He has His eye on you Alice and has good plans for your life. God bless you!

    2. @Alice Wolfess I suffer from anxiety attacks like that, you feel like your having a heart attack and it’s very scary, I really feel for you, something that I learnt from the Paramedics that had to come to me was a breathing technique, I’ll try and explain it the best I can here and it does work for me when I feel an attack coming on, like you can feel your pulse racing like crazy, if you take a Big Deep Breath in through your nose and hold it for as long as you can, then when you let that breath out (here’s where it gets a bit hard to explain) You have to Breath it Out through Your Mouth as hard as you can, almost like your sitting on the toilet trying to push out a #2 if you know what I mean and continue to do this until you can feel your heart rate coming down, whenever I have a panic attack like this I can usually stop it from happening, I know it sounds weird but maybe give it a try next time you feel one coming on, I don’t know about you, but after I’ve had a really bad panic attack, I have to use the toilet pretty quickly, the Paramedics described it to me being like a professional athlete who put their bodies through so much training more than the average person when they’re training for the Olympics or a Marathon that kind of Training, something I never do, but it’s real scary when it happens and you really do think your having a heart attack, I’m so sorry you went through that, I know exactly how you feel. I hope you feel better now, but it does drain you after an attack and just rest. Blessings from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺💖💖🫂🫂

  1. People who haven’t experienced anxiety don’t understand how *physical* it is.. it’s not just a mindset thing, it’s a real physiological response to stress.
After my 3rd baby I found myself having mini panic attacks when she cried. That sounds stupid, but my heart rate sped way up and my entire body reacted. I will never talk about anxiety lightly again.

Thanks for this video! Our generation needs it.

  5. I was with you I’m pretty much all of them, until you said “procrastinate.” The best I have found for ME is when something gives me anxiety that’s the thing I attack first. Then I only have anxiety once and it is done and over.

  6. I feel like I’m the only one feeling this so thanks for reminding me I’m not alone. I workout everyday and it’s very helpful. And I just started coloring on an app and it’s a good distraction.

  7. I’ve suffered with anxiety and depression , pretty much my whole life and I’m 36 years old now. I do take medication, but I will say I’ve included external things in order to lower my anxiety. I used to be a heavy reader, and that helped a lot and then I became unfocused, recently I listened to my first audiobook to get me back into reading, and I have to say the concentration in listening to the audiobook helps you focus on something else even if you can’t focus on actually reading a book. I found that that has helped. I’ve been exercising consistently since 2020 and that has helped as well. I did try the CBD for quite some time from equilibria due to your recommendation and it did work, but I think my anxiety was too high and it didn’t work with even the highest dosage. Anxiety and depression is an ever present part of some people’s lives, and it’s just a matter of how you get through it in the most positive way. Thank you for putting this video out there and making it feel less like a stigma.

  8. I saw the sadness right when you talked about your teeth. It’s not a small thing. We all have pain or trauma. Who are we to judge whose is worse or better? All we want is for someone to hear us and have compassion. I wish your teeth problems come to an end one day Shea. All great ideas. Procrastinating has helped for my ruminating brain and so has reading.

  9. This was great Shea. Thank you. As s life long anxiety sufferer, with a plethora of recent health issues,I found these tips really interesting and like you said, concrete ways to deal with these negative emotions. I do a couple of them already, like reading every night, but I plan to incorporate the other tips as well. Thank you for this. There are a lot of us out there suffering from this debilitating condition!

  12. Thank you so much for posting this!! I’ve been having an extremely hard time lately. As I have a 3 yr old daughter that is on the spectrum. My 20 mth old son. We’re all living in the same room right now w/family. I never get a second to myself except when she goes to pre k 3 days a week for 2 hrs. They do speech & occupational therapy for her there as well so that’s been helping. But I have ptsd w/nightmares & flashbacks, anxiety w/panic attacks, & Depression due to growing up w/watching & enduring all kinds of abuse up until a year ago. I finally left my abuser who is my husband & the father of my children but he made me choose between possibly relapsing (as I have 9 years 7 mths in active recovery) & being his wife. Or being a Mother in recovery starting over with nothing (hopefully we get picked for this apartment lottery or we’ll end up in a shelter) BUT we have each other!! So I WILL ALWAYS CHOOSE MY CHILDREN!! It’s scary but I’m manifesting a life that we deserve!! Please pray for us!! Sending much love light and positive prosperous healthy energy your ways ✨

  13. Thanks Shea! Can’t wait to try some of these. Great point about procrastinating worry. I am so trained to “be on top” of everything in my life that I stress on how to address worrisome things asap. A great trait for most things is not a great trait for worry. Thank you!

  14. Thank you,Shea for sharing this. Both my girls have anxiety so bad sometimes. I’m gonna share the video so they’ll watch it. I am very blessed my saying is just turned the channel in my mind and that works for me. Also, I have a very childlike mind so there you go thank you again.

  15. Love this one!!! I like the advice about just filing it away, but I think that only applies to certain things that are out of our control. When it comes to a big project, such as something for school or work that needs to get done, the best way to relieve the anxiety over it is to take action with small steps everyday!

  16. Thank you, great tips! A few extra things, this is not instant but honestly worth mentioning and this is probably the biggest thing we can all do to decrease the severity of any mental issue. Cut out all or limit processed sugar, eat only on special occasions if you have to. It’s that brain body connection and what you ate that day may not stop anxiety but it WILL determine how severe you experience it!! Also, go for a drive on a really nice sunny day, drive towards the sun, roll down the windows, listen to music or an Audiobook at the same time! Also, get sunshine in general at least 15 minutes a day. Limit caffine if you can because you are probably sensitive to it if you suffer from anxiety. Ask your doctor to check all of your vitamin levels, especially vitamine D! I remember once someone saying that listening to Christmas music helps her! This is a less obvious one but so so soooooo important, get to know your cycle very well, certain times of the month we experience high anxiety due to hormonal changes! Understanding yourself, how you think, how your body works is really really beneficial. As far as monitoring your cycle, the Flo app is amazing but I’m sure there are others that work just as well.

    1. Yes, to the microscipic tracking of your cycle – the root cause for mine. It allowed me to see where the triggers are, when i would go off the rails, and cause the family to run for cover. I”m on an even keel and the relief is F I N E.

  17. I completely agree with procrastinating on anxiety. I have always pushed myself being too anti procrastination when it comes to anxiety and it always ends up with anxiety spiral that gets worse and worse to the point of panic attack or mental numbness (and situation does not get better!). I think that strategy you suggested is smart. Thanks Shea
