  1. Thredup is GREAT! OMGosh – everything from fast fashion to Chanel. I think they have 4 MILLION pieces in inventory. Go for your favorite brands and you’ll recognize things you loved that sold out – this time you get them for a fraction. I’ve found so many wardrobe basics that sell out in hard-to-find pretty neutrals. Imagine a 100% wool gabardine jacket in a famous brand for $30. They arrive clean – no smoke smells. Most clothing is easily returnable within 14 days. Once you’re on – just try to stop!

  2. Love the idea of color palette – we used to get our colors DONE in the 70’s Shea – I am a jewel tone lover and have TRIED to follow that – certain colors JUST LOOK better on all of us – but you have to know what they are – FOR me it has worked (i never wear GREEN) I have always kept to the PLUM, PINK, BLUE families – they tend to be my favorite colors for clothes – glenda

  3. I’d love to see more videos on those color palette wardrobes! You could make a 10 piece ‘capsule wardrobe’ from items in your closet that follow one of the color palettes

  4. I appreciate that this video doesn’t encourage a lot of spending but instead encourages using what you have. Maybe a small addition. Thank you. Please consider this often. Love your outfits and I do appreciate that they aren’t all crazy expensive.

  5. Another suggestion that I starred to do so I wasn’t pulling the same things all the time….pick a day and go through your closet and put several outfits for your week together ahead of time
So often in the morning I am rushed and just grab familiar items. But if you put together your outfits ahead of time you can pull unworn items and try them out

  6. My daughter (Gen Z) shops about 75% of the time “thrifting”. Recently she got three jackets; faux leather short jacket, jean jacket and a great black plaid winter coat…all for next to nothing! They look great on her.

  7. Loved all those ideas!! Very interested in the color palette one. Maybe you could do a video with examples.
Also love that long dress with the orange belt!! ❤️

  8. Great tips! For years I’ve been begging another YouTuber to make a “shop your stash” video and today my favorite YouTuber delivered one! I’m going to rewatch it a few times! In regards to trying to figure out what to donate, I found your suggestion of picking up a piece, and if it gives you a sinking feeling, get rid of it! It’s like if something has negative energy—for whatever reason—why keep it in your home? Another thing I do if I’m hung-up on whether to keep something is force myself to wear it that day (or the next day); if I find myself resisting, I don’t ask why, I just donate it and picture the person who’ll end up with it really enjoying it. For some reason, picturing someone finding joy in something I don’t know what to do with makes it easier to let the item go.

  9. Good afternoon Shea. You gave great pointers. When I look into my closets I feel anxiety. I’ve donated but need to do a lot more! It gives me a headache. Thank you for this great video. Your such a great person to put all the time it takes to help us!

  10. Thrifting lets me look stylish on my very small budget. I’m 5’10” and finding clothes that fit is challenging anywhere but I have a good a shot as any when I thrift!

  11. I love that you brought up the color palette method because not only do I shop in that method now but my closet is organized by color and it makes getting ready so much easier and takes out most of the stress.

  12. Hi Shea! Thanks for the great tips. When using the outfit formula of dressing monochromatic with a layer on top, would you recommend matching the color of your handbag to the outfit color or the jacket color? Thanks! 😎💙

  13. I’ve found ThredUp super hit or miss. It works best by sticking with brands you know and not being afraid to return items if they aren’t as described! 👍
