6 Wearable Trends To Update Your Summer Style Now | Fashion Trends 2022
If you love wearable fashion as much as I do then I hope today's video inspires you to reach for a few of those pieces hanging unworn in your closet or encourages you to add a few more pieces to give you more outfit options. Sometimes a few key pieces is all it takes to make a big difference when it comes to styling wearable outfits. All of the items I've mentioned today are not only on trend now but they are pieces that you will be able to wear for years to come. That's a really important thing for me as I try and be as careful as possible when it comes to buying new clothes so I need to know they are going to deliver a great return on my investment. So I hope you enjoy this one and if nothing else it inspires you to have a little more fun with fashion this summer. Oh and I'd love to hear your top wearable fashion trends for 2022 in the comments below. Is there one particular trend you can't get enough of? For me it's brightly coloured oversized button down shirts – but I'm sure you already knew that LOL 🙂

Thanks so much for watching.

See you soon

Leonie

  1. I love all of the trends you mentioned, especially color! Color is just happy! I won’t be doing oversized, but I do like a slightly relaxed fit. I love white pants and have a stovepipe leg white jean with eyelet trim around the ankle which I love!

  2. Classic shirts are trending in a crinkly cotton gauze fabric for those who prefer a slightly more relaxed look than a traditional shirting fabric. Most retailers offer them at various price points, but I love the upscale ones at Rails (no affiliation). Personally, I still love the crisp poplin or broadcloth ones, but I might add a gauze one, too. This fabric is very airy and cool, too, but gives less sun protection than a tighter weave. I also love my linen ones, one is no-iron, and my silk ones (except for the hottest days). Couldn’t live without some nice shirts!

  3. Howdy Leonie!👋 Love all these trends! I need to look for a relaxed blazer…not crazy about the oversized like we wore in the mid 80s. Done that and ain’t interested in going back there; however, the relaxed in the linen caught my eye.😃
Hopefully you are enjoying the weather there…Central Texas hitting 105 most days this week…not time for jeans of any color.😄
Cute earrings! Looking forward to seeing how you style the sweet blazer you got for $10. 🙂 Thanks!💕

    1. Hi Valorie yes slightly relaxed is far easier than oversized for most people and wow 105 😳 that’s hot. It’s only 55 here at the moment 🥶 😂 oh and yes I’m very excited about my bargain blazer 😁

  4. As a petite, I love a long maxi dress with a defined waist and not too much fullness at the bottom. They give a taller, leaner shape. I have one I adore, in a gorgeous, but cool, navy knit.

    1. Sounds fabulous Kimberly and thanks for sharing as I know petites can often shy away from maxis but they can be super flattering if, like you say, they have a defined waist and not too much fullness 👍🏼

  5. I love all the bright colours and pastels – I always wear colour,❤️💛💚💙💜💗paired with 🤍🖤🤎or 🪙!
Soo happy for SS22! 🥰 Dopamine dressed! Never heard it before! Soo true!
Kia Ora! (Went to NZ in 2011!)
    Bye from 🇸🇪

    1. @The Style Insider Spent my honeymoon in NZ (North Island) from New years Eve 2010- Jan 23 2011! It was great! 💗Auckland, vulcano Rangitoto, Bay of Islands with Paihia, Cape Rianga, sanddune sliding, Tane Mahuta, Poor Knights Islands snorkling, Rotorua’s hot springs and sulphur lakes, saling on lake Taupo, seeing snowy mountains from Lord of the Rings and finally Wellington! Beautiful nature and so friendly people! Hangi and seeing haka and traditional dances! Love to go back, this time with the kids! ❤️‍🔥

  6. Hi Leonie, I have finally dipped my toes, literally into vibrant bold colours. I’ve started off with sandal shoes & a jumpsuit. So I’m feeling very summery at the mo! Great video again. Lots to think about & try out. xxx

    1. @The Style Insider still testing what suits me best. I’m not really a red or green person but I’ll embrace the garments if they are flattering. But who doesn’t like a bit of colour to brighten their day. xxx

  7. Never been a huge shirt fan, however I managed to combine 2 trends yesterday with the purchase of a lovely green shirt that makes my skin tone come alive. Am practicing my knots, to highlight my waistline and give definition to my petite frame.

  8. Watching this while I am packing and thumbs up tp all the different garments mention in this video. Of course, I am taking both KarenBritChic’s pants (we 2 geniuses think alike). I going to try to stay away from packing too much denim because it going to be hot and muggy and probably will not be something I might chose to wear to often and I can always wear them more than once. So focusing on the men’s shirts, shorts, skirts, and a few dresses. This was a great video. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

  9. I love the bright colours, I hope they’ll still be in fashion once Summer comes back to Australia 🇦🇺 where Winter 🥶 has come hard and fast Lol 😂, although I still love wearing my white jeans all year round and think that colours can be worn throughout the year regardless of what season your in. Loved your hack on IG with the oversized pants tying them at the back with a little piece of ribbon, I’m going to try that with a pair of jeans I have that are too big for me but too expensive to part with. Cheers from Queensland Australia 🇦🇺❤️❤️

  10. Thanks Leonie, everything I love and own. I’m searching the maxi skirt but I’m so picky hh and I’m glad I kept my old maxi dresses because the new ones are always not long enough for me. I love the relaxed shirts, especially in linen and lyocell denim, so comfy.

  11. I’m not waiting for summer to wear lovely colours cos it’s so cold in Sydney winter at the moment. Planning to wear white wide leg trackies with white combat boots (inspired by you☺️) with a bright yellow fluffy jumper and neon green chunky cardigan tomorrow to work. I think I will feel very happy tomorrow…
