Happy 2022 Shea ❤️ Looking forward to connecting with you more and watching more of your videos in the new year
Ahh thank you so much!!! Happy 2022 to you as well!
Happy New Year! I could do this EVERY day and still have too much “stuff”. Love your content ❤️
Hahaha same here LOL! Thank you so much though!!!
Happy new years Mrs Shea, sweet and warm person anytime I see you. Thank you for sharing items to clear out in the new year. I started this in October with jeans, shirts and carried over to last month with socks and boxers.
Love that you’re encouraging the habit of starting fresh in the New year and getting rid of clutter! It’s a great feeling to get organised, I’m going to start today, thanks for this
Great tips Shea! I’ve already started in my bathroom!! We just moved in June and I literally never realized that the shelves in my medicine cabinets were adjustable.
Lol I do this right after Thanksgiving before I decorate for Christmas because I know there will be so much new ” stuff ” coming in. I agree with everything except not involving the children in donating or discarding the toys I always let my boys pick what they wanted to give away explaining that they have so much are about to get even more and that some children don’t have any you would be surprised how good they are at sharing if you give them the chance.
I’m so glad for the encouragement to declutter and clean out- starting fresh. loving having less clutter in my home. I have a donation bag in a closet that I’m always adding to, I also try to practice donating something when bringing in something new. Love your no nonsense perspective Shea! Happy new year 🌷
I am in my 60’s and I still think about my bride doll, doll house, easy bake oven and especially my stuffed animals Tony the dog, Tony the tiger and Tonsils the lion. My mom got rid of them when I wasn’t around thinking I wouldn’t notice, but I did, and it was very upsetting. To this day, I wish I still had them. You might want to rethink throwing out the toys and instead store them in a bin for a while in your garage, attic or basement and then donate them at a later date if they don’t ask about or want them. Sometimes there are certain toys to which kids have a strong attachment.
I love that I can actually relate to your videos…it doesn’t feel fake. Your not walking through a mansion emptying Prada garbage cans. Lol. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with mansions, or creators spending their hard earned $ on a mansion, just more relatable when I actually get the feeling that You are scrubbing your own toilets and vacuuming your own floors. Make any sense? I hope so, and I hope that didn’t come across as rude towards people who live in mansions.
I think the fever has officially gotten to me.
Happy New Year, Shea
Much love from AZ 💜
Love this!!! I’m looking forward to buying less this year or only buying things that actually improve my life, health, or make me happy. It helps to get rid of the things that don’t serve me anymore!!!
We just moved and I couldn’t believe how much clutter and junk in general we could throw out! It needed to be done.
Keeping our spaces fresh can be so difficult but these tips are a great way to begin the new year! Thank you for the video, great idea!
I did this last week! So therapeutic. I was able to donate an entire truckload of stuff to a local charity and finally recycled all of those boxes we’d been saving from the last move (4 years ago 🤣).
Girl! I started watching your video thinking “I should be good I keep up with decluttering all year long”. When you mentioned the drawer full of appliance manuals the light bulb lit up above my head, just the other day I looked at that drawer and realized that it needed TLC, lots of TLC, I stopped the video and went right to it. Got rid of a stack of stuff. Thank You!!!!
Oh my, I went into this video with mugs in mind lol. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to get rid of the junk drawer all together. But my former junk drawer ends up turning into one over the year anyway so definitely need to do that!
I don’t have a junk drawer any more, but this inspired me to go through my cooking utensil drawer while waiting for coffee to brew. I found a couple things to toss and several things that were in good shape to donate. I mean, how many whisks does one person need? I can’t be certain, but I’m sure it’s less than 6 lol.
I always involved my children in getting rid of things before Christmas. I had them pick out a toy for Toys for Tots and explained that some children didn’t have the lucky situation we did. That it was also good for us to give to others so they could have a good Christmas. It starts them early on the importance of giving.
I agree with this approach. My grandmother threw out my mom’s favorite teddy bear behind her back. My mom has never forgotten this; my mom is in her late sixties.
Happy New Year! I could do this EVERY day and still have too much “stuff”. Love your content ❤️
I already started the decluttering in December. It feels so good that I am continuing one hour per day to make it manageable. My closets never looked so good! So satisfying!
Great tips! I would encourage going through the old toys together with the kiddos. Decluttering, learning when to give up something and move on and focusing on what’s essential is a great learning experience for them too 😁
